Pete & Gerry's Egg-streme Crepe Challenge WinnersOur talented food bloggers came up with nine very creative crepe recipes made with our Heirloom Eggs. Choosing was difficult. The winners were chosen for the quality of the recipe, creativity and presentation. The winning blogger will be featured on Carole Murko's Heirloom Meals radio program and receive free eggs for a year.
You can find all nine of the recipes plus Carole's great-grandmother's heirloom Manicotti Crepe recipe on our Heirloom Eggs website.
Here are the winners along with Carole's comments:

Provencal Crepe with Moroccan Tagine Chicken & Vegetables
"While not the simplest, this was by far the best fusion of flavors and textures. It was unique, and Shawnee's story was well written to boot! With the exception of the beer in the crepe, it would even be gluten-free which is something I've come to appreciate."

Spicy Chickpea Crepes with Cucumber-Yogurt Sauce
"I must be craving chick peas! This recipe hit me on several levels. It's gluten free, vegetarian and delicious! The yogurt sauce was an excellent finishing touch. I also liked the addition of the cilantro in the crepe batter. It added both a visual and taste interest."
